1. World's First Self-Playing Violin

Virtouso is claimed to be the World's first self-playing violin. This musical instrument was invented by TV and film scorer Fred Paroutaud and the late Dr. Thomas Paine an administrator of NASA during the Apollo moon flights and the former President of Northrop Corporation.

Basically, an invisible hand glides the bow across the strings producing a genuine violin sound with no human in sight.

2. Audiopad
This is an interactive tabletop system which tracks the position of objects and converts their motion into music. This was designed by MIT graduates named James Patten and Ben Recht.

3. Virtual Piano
This musical instrument is a DID's (Digital Information Development)portable that lets you turn any surface into a musical keyboard. This virtual piano uses a red semiconductor laser module and holographic optical element to project a 25-key 2-octave keyboard onto the surface in front of it.

This piano has a CMOS camera module and infrared red semiconductor laser feature that detect which keys to touched, and the corresponding notes are emitted speakers built into the device. On the other hand, the keyboard has 3 other voices in addition to piano organ, pipe organ and harpsichord.

4. Toyota's Trumpet Playing Robot
Toyota showing you their new line of trumpet playing robots, designed to entertain and function as assistants for the elderly at the Toyota Hall in Japan. Don't get be frustated if the technical specifications on this musical intruments have not yet been released.

5. World's Smallest Functional Grand Piano
This is the last but not the lest musical instrument. The world claimed this as the smallest functional grand piano. Either, it can be played manually with sticks or automatically via the built in computer.
